Brasserie De Bank in Harderwijk

It's always a feast we can't get enough of every time. After a long day's work at Bungalowpark Het Verscholen Dorp we were in the mood for an uncomplicated tasty bite to eat, just to round off the day in a cozy and delicious way. Jannette quickly came up with the idea of going to Brasserie De Bank. 

This cozy establishment is located at Smeeportstraat No. 1, where you can clearly still see the old city wall and gateway to the inner city of Harderwijk. The brasserie is very trendy, industrial and modern decorated and there is a casual atmosphere. We received a friendly welcome and promptly a nice high table was arranged for us, next to the open kitchen at the back of the establishment, from where we had a wonderful view of what was happening in the brasserie. Also the activity in the kitchen, where we see delicious dishes leaving and where the last "finishing touches" are being made by the young, but decisive, kitchen brigade. An attentive, cheerful and friendly young lady quickly provides us with a drink, while we quietly peruse the menu to see what we might be in the mood for. The menu is not too extensive, but there is plenty of choice of surprising combinations. 

The salad is well filled and looks fresh and crisp, even the request for extra honey for Jannette is quickly responded to.

Jannette takes a classic, the goat cheese salad. I go for the catfish with pesto and linguini (I remember the linguini from the movie Ratatouille). Within not too long the, very delicious looking, salad and sea wolf are placed at the table, yummie!!! The salad is well filled and looks fresh and crispy, also the request for extra honey for Jannette is quickly responded to. The catfish looks appetizing and colorful. We are both very satisfied with the choice and the plates are eaten clean. 
We are satisfied and contented, but also tired after a full day's work at Bungalowpark Het Verscholen Dorp and we decide to go home. Due to its ideal location near the old center and shopping area of Harderwijk, however, brasserie de Bank is also an ideal choice for Friday lunch or dinner, you walk right into the center and can make your day/evening even more enjoyable.
