What is there to do in the surroundings?
Het Verscholen Dorp is located in the Hanseatic city of Harderwijk. This is less than 10 minutes away from the most beautiful nature reserve in the Netherlands, the Veluwe. Here you can enjoy the beautiful nature while walking or cycling. Harderwijk itself is known by the Dutch as open, relaxed, and enterprising. This is a place to enjoy: illuminated squares, centuries-old buildings, and a cosy atmospheric city centre with trendy cafés and terraces. Close to Harderwijk are the cities of Apeldoorn, Amersfoort, and Zwolle. These cities are perfect for a day of shopping, visiting various museums, or having a bite to eat. In Apeldoorn, it is also definitely worth visiting the Apenheul, Paleis het Loo, and Julianatoren. In short, plenty to do during the May holiday at Het Verscholen Dorp.
