Celebrate Mother's Day in The Netherlands

It's almost that time again: Mother's Day 😍! Mother's Day gifts can be difficult to come up with. Our tip is to spoil your mother with a wonderful weekend away at Het Verscholen Dorp and surprise her with a delicious breakfast (or order this ready-to-eat from Bakker Piet). Choose one of our chalets or bungalows and enjoy a wonderful weekend away. These are suitable for 3 to 6 people and are surrounded by greenery. During your stay, you can use the park facilities. Come and have a bite to eat at restaurant La Famiglia, rent a bike at the reception, take a dip in the swimming pool or play tennis on our tennis court.

Holiday tips during Mother's Day

During the weekend of Mother's Day the weather is usually very nice. The perfect time to go out and about. Good news 😊! The surroundings of our holiday park are perfect for doing fun things. We have selected the a few  tips here:

🏙 Cities - Het Verscholen Dorp is located in the Hanseatic city of Harderwijk. It is a city that you really should not miss. It has an attractive city center with trendy coffee shops, terraces, and wonderful restaurants. Also visit Apeldoorn, Amersfoort and Zwolle. Very nice cities if you like shopping.

🐒 Days out - Fun attractions can be visited in the surrounding cities. For example, choose the Apenheul, Paleis het Loo, Julianatoren, Thermen Bussloo, Bowlingbaan Harderwijk, Kok Experience, or Funzone Zwolle. 

🍷 Delicious dining - Harderwijk has good restaurants at every price level and with a varied menu. Take a seat on one of the attractive squares of the Hanseatic city or enjoy the waterfront. For example, dine at Fuego Tapasbar, The Lotus Lounge, 't Zusje, De Boterlap, Cozy Harbor or Holy Moly. Find an overview here.
